The area suffered another snafu from Mother Nature late last week when she decided to, again, open the heavens on the area and inundate diamonds with more water. Several games were adjusted in advance of the weather while others were simply postponed or cancelled.

This has, no doubt, been perhaps the craziest diamond season in recent memory with all the rearrangement of schedules. Now, with the weather slightly warming up and the humidity returning to a higher level, that invites another unwanted guest in droves - gnats! Be warned if you are headed to the park this week. Go prepared with bottles of mankind's kryptonite for those pesky pests or else suffer the wrath of their razor-sharp jaws. For those new to the area, I have no doubt you will figure it out in short order.
