The Pass Christian track and field team gathered together after the Division 8-4A meet on Thursday evening to celebrate their sweep of the team titles.

Pass Christian High School hosted the Division 8-2A and 4A championship meets on Thursday evening.

The Pirates swept both the boys and girls team titles in Class 4A while St. Stanislaus took runner-up in 4A and OLA was runner-up in 2A.

On the boys side in Class 4A, the Pirates racked up 138.5 points to 125.5 for SSC. Bay High finished with 15 points.

The top four finishers in each event advanced to regional competition next week.

The Pirates were led by regional qualifiers including Huu Nguyen who won both the 100m (11.4) and 200m (23.21) races. Terre Johnson also qualified in the 100m with a third place finish (11.60).

Mike Seignious was a triple-qualifier in the 800m (3rd, 2:12.09), 1600m (3rd, 5:01.89), and 3200m (3rd, 11:11.52). Sean Necaise also placed fourth in the 800m (2:12.56).

Xavian Page took second in the 110m hurdles (16.20) while Andrew Moffett won the 300m hurdles (42.37) and the triple jump (43' 2 1/2").

The Pirates won the 4x100m relay (44.85), took second in the 4x200m relay (1:34.10), third in the 4x800m relay (9:15.80) and fourth in the 4x400m (3.50.85).

Montrell McGowan was runner-up in the high jump (6') and Will McGuire took fourth in the pole vault (11').

Damonta May was second in the triple jump (42') and Gordon Ward was fourth in the discus (103' 1").

The Rocks were paced by Brandon Birdelon who was a triple-qualifier winning the 110m hurdles (15.30), taking second in the 300m hurdles (42.59), and second in the long jump (20'4").

Ja'Kobe Cameron won the 400m run (52.79) while William Weber won the pole vault (13') and placed third in the 400m (53.77).

Alex Koons took second in the 800m (2:11.12) and Landry Lemoine was fourth in the 1600m (5:05.63).

The Rocks won the 4x200m relay (1:33.38), the 4x400m relay (3:42.45) and took second in the 4x800m relay (9:06.50).

Taylor Necaise was second in the pole vault (12') while Thomas Carter was third (11').

Jack Wikoff won the discus (112'9") and Ryan Tyler was third (109').

Seth Cook placed fourth in the shotput (40'1").

The Tigers were paced by Denim Lombard who took fourth in the 200m (23.51), the 4x100m relay team that placed fourth (45.21) and the 4x200m relay team that also placed fourth (1:36.66).

The Lady Pirates amassed 225 points en route to the title while Bay High ended with 39.

The Lady Pirates were led by Kamdyn Skinner who won the 300m hurdles (51.14), high jump (5') and the triple jump (32').

Jalyn Anderson placed second in the 100m (12.88) and Aniyah Price was fourth (13.22).

Miranda Laurent took fourth in the 200m (28.23) while Madelyn Greene was second in the 400m (1:04.79) and third in triple jump (31'4").

Kealey Skinner won the 800m (2:39.48) while Hannah Rutledge placed second (2:49.39) and Emily Dedeaux was third (2:49.83).

Haley Clark took second in the 1600m (6:18.07) and 3200m (13:23.44).

Avery Saulter was third in the 1600m (6:26.13) and Abby Batten was fourth (6:31.05).

Julia Hanson placed third in the 3200m (14:38.98).

Cayla Obilo won the 400m (1:03.49) and the long jump (14'11").

The Lady Pirates placed third in the 4x100m relay (53.54), first in the 4x400m (4:34.93) and first in the 4x800m (11:31.24).

Dena Howard placed fourth in the high jump (4'10") while Shermaine Preston took fourth in the long jump (14' 4 1/2").

Mina Tran won the pole vault (8') followed by Ellie Diaz in second (5'6") and Katherine Newman was third (5').

Camille Newman won the shotput (30' 3 1/2") while Aniyah Rials placed fourth (24' 4").

Jeasonna Alexander won the discus (92' 6 1/2") and Leigha West was fourth (61'6").

The Lady Tigers were paced by Gabby Posey who placed third in the 300m hurdles (54.09) and the 4x100m relay that placed second (53.05).

The 4x200m relay team took second (1:53.75) while the 4x400m relay team was third (4:52.00).

Jalaya Lewis was second in the discus (70'6").

In the girls 2A division, OLA took second with 77 points just two points behind the winner St. Patrick.

OLA was led by Olivia Gelpi who won the 300m hurdles (51.32), placed second in the 100m hurdles (18.06) and won the triple jump (31' 10").

Aennie Bridges won the 100m (13.17) while Isabelle Gelpi took third in the 100m (13.59).

Sara Hollingsworth won the 400m (1:03.86) followed by Katie Logan in second (1:04.81).

Rylie Moore was second in the 800m (2:47.19) and Addison Capo was fourth in the 1600m (6:50.36).

Mallory Capo was fourth in the 3200m (17:30.70.

Taylor Slade took third in the 300m hurdles (55.40l and was fourth in the 110m hurdles (19.46).

OLA was second in the 4x100m relay (58.10), second in the 4x200m relay (1:55.16), second in the 4x400m relay (4:35.52) and won the 4x800m relay (12:29.00).

Logan took second in the high jump (4'8") and Camille Cottone was third (4'6").

Grace Bradford won the pole vault (8'6") and Hutton Scharp was third (8').

Claire Whitney won the shotput (25' 1 1/2") followed by Aly Theobald in second (24'7") and Margerite Gelpi was third (24').

Margerite Gelpi won the discus (78' 8") while Whitney was third (65' 5") and Cali Reinhart was fourth (65' 3").

McKenzie Wallace placed fourth in triple jump (25' 4").

The Class 2A and 4A regional meet will be held at Pass Christian on Thursday, April 18th.
