Mary Nell Kirkpatrick Sanford

Mary Nell Kirkpatrick Sanford, 94, passed on peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. She was the center of family activities, was much beloved by family and friends, and will be greatly missed. Nanny, as she was called by all, was born and raised in the Thorn Community outside Houston, MS and moved to Bay St. Louis on the Gulf Coast with her husband and children in the late 1950s. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Sallie White Kilpatrick, three siblings, and her husband, Hugh Carroll Sandford. She is survived by her sister, Sara Rebecca Isaacs of South Carolina, daughter, Carol Sanford Fullilove (Michael) of Long Beach, MS, daughter, Rebecca Sandford Dedeaux of Gulfport, MS, son, Robert Hugh Sandford (Katrina) of Pensacola, FL, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three great-great grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews .A special thanks goes to Deaconess Home Health and Deaconess Hospice for their loving support and care for Nanny. The visitation is Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS. The graveside service will follow at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
