A Pass Christian man was arrested this week for the alleged statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl.

Clyde David Matthew Fricke, Jr., of Black Gum Circle, Pass Christian, was charged Friday with one felony count of statutory rape, Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said in a press release Friday.

The criminal complaint arose from an incident that occurred in the 23000 block of Black Gum Circle in December 2018 after the girl "reported the incident to a teacher at her school, who notified authorities," Peterson said.

At press time Friday, Fricke was still incarcerated at the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility in lieu of a $25,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray, Peterson said.
