A Hancock County deputy marks off the crime scene Friday evening at Bayside Park after a man was stabbed.

A Kiln man was arrested early Saturday morning for allegedly stabbing another man during an altercation at Bayside Park late Friday evening.

Hancock County sheriff's deputies charged Michael Leon Denza, 46, with one count of aggravated assault -- manifesting extreme indifference to human life.

Witnesses at the scene said the two men had gotten into a fight when Denza allegedly pulled out a knife.

The victim -- whose identity has not yet been officially released -- was transported first to Ochsner Medical -- Hancock Center, and later transferred to a New Orleans hospital. The victim's condition was also not available.

As of press time Tuesday, Denza was still being held at the Hancock County Justice Facility in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
