Hawks cage Bearcats 23-13 What started as a shootout ended in a war of attrition with the Hancock Hawks holding on to a hard-fought 23-13 victory over the Long Beach Bearcats Friday evening at Brett Favre Field.

Bay High bounces North Pike 14-7 The Bay High Tigers (1-1) rebounded from their opening week loss to tally a 14-7 victory on the road against North Pike who was ranked #2 in Class 4A.
The Tigers received all their scoring in the first half and held North Pike scoreless in the second half. Brennan Dunklin broke free for a 41-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
