Authorities charged a Pass Christian man Friday in connection with a fatal crash that occurred on Wolf River Road.
According to a press release from the Harrison County Sheriff's Office, Joshua E. Ladner, 27, of Firetower Rd., was charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident.
Jail records show Ladner was previously on probation in Hancock County.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, Harrison County deputies responded to an accident on Wolf River Road near Jake Bell Road, Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said.
Melissa Jane Ladner was pronounced dead at the scene, but before authorities could question Joshua Ladner, he fled the scene, Brisolara said.
Deputies began to pursue Ladner's vehicle, but he stopped and ran into the woods near Mennonite Road, the press release said.
Ladner was later apprehended after a K-9 tracked him through the woods, Brisolara said.
Ladner was arrested and transported to the Harrison County Jail. His bond was set at $150,000.
The accident remains under investigation.
