14 jailed in Hancock drug sweep

Hancock County sheriff's deputies on Friday arrested 14 suspects in connection with a drug sweep throughout the county.
Many of the suspects were arrested for drug charges including marijuana and meth. Deputies also nabbed a wanted fugitive and made other arrests for other outstanding warrants, Sheriff Ricky Adam said.
“As our office has shown for almost three years, we will combat those who wish to deal drugs in our county," Adam said. "We will continue to gather intel, compile that information and go after those involved in peddling drugs. We will continue this effort to curb this problem and in doing so, keep our citizens--and most of all--our children safe.” 
Deputies began serving warrants about 6 a.m. Friday. Suspects were arrested in Waveland, Bay St. Louis, Kiln, and Bayside Park.
Those arrested include:
*Russell Stempler, 44 of Kiln, felony possession of a controlled substance.
*Richard Coulter II, 32 of Kiln, two counts felony possession with intent to distribute.
*Cheryl West, 55 of Kiln, felony possession of controlled substance.
*Darnell Wood, 48 of Bayside Community, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
*Shantel Seawright, 36 of Kiln, felony possession of a controlled substance.
*Danny Dorsey, 27 of Waveland, sale of a controlled substance.
*Aaron Skinner, of Kiln, felony possession of a controlled substance.
*Steven Haydel, of Kiln, felony possession of a controlled substance.
*James Staten, of Kiln, hold for other agency.
*Austin Schmelzer, of Bay St. Louis, felony possession of a controlled substance.
*Thomas Talkington, 63 of Kiln, wanted by Louisiana for sex offender violations.
*Rebekka Hodge, 23 of Kiln, felony possession of a controlled substance.
*Tony Guerrero, 43 of Kiln, felony possession of controlled substance.
*Quinn Sauce, 19 of Kiln, felony possession of controlled substance.
By press time Friday, several suspects remained at large, including Candace Morel, 25, and Jamie Lewis, 38, both of Waveland; and Kendall Daniels Jr., 22, and Bobby Saucier, 28, both of Bay St. Louis.
