A Waveland man was arrested this week for allegedly forcing a 15-year-old female to perform sexual acts with him and a 30-year-old woman, authorities said Thursday.
Hancock County Sheriff's Chief Investigator Glen Grannan said Thursday that Billy Roy Britt, 37, was charged Wednesday with sexual battery of a child and enticement of a child for sexual purposes.
Grannan said detectives recently received a complaint from the victim's family that spurred the investigation.
According to Grannan, between November 2013 and February 2014, Britt had been attempting to entice the victim to have sex with him.
"He told the victim that he was going to take her virginity," Grannan said.
At one point, Grannan said, Britt forced the victim to perform sexual acts with a 30-year-old female.
Britt and the victim knew each other, Grannan said, but would not elaborate on their relationship.
Grannan said Britt was considered one of Hancock County's "most wanted" criminal suspects.
"Mr. Britt was not cooperating with the investigation," Grannan said. "He waited to come in until he had bail money to be able to get out."
Britt was arrested Tuesday and released on a $20,000 bond later in the day. Grannan said the case is still under investigation and more charges may be possible.
Britt is scheduled to appear in Hancock County Justice Court on July 1.
