Two Pass Christian teenagers were killed and another was seriously injured Monday after a tragic crash on Cunningham Road, authorities said Tuesday.
Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said Tuesday that his office was notified of a vehicle accident Monday afternoon involving multiple injuries.
Apparently, Brisolara said, a 1997 Chevy Blazer, which was being driven by William Smith, IV, 18, pulled out of a residence on Cunningham Road and into the path of a 2010 Dodge Truck.
The impact of the crash caused the Blazer to overturn, Brisolara said.
The Blazer had two passengers, Patricia Ladner, 18, who was in the front passenger seat; and her brother, Cody Ladner, 16, who was in the back seat.
Smith and Cody Ladner were taken to Garden Park Hospital where they were later pronounced dead.
Patricia Ladner was airlifted to the University of South Alabama Medical Center.
She was listed in critical condition on Tuesday.
Patricia Ladner graduated from Pass Christian High School last week and Smith was her boyfriend, according to social media sites. The driver of the Dodge, Michael Holmes, 48, was taken to Garden Park with "minor injuries," Brisolara said.
The crash is still under investigation, Brisolara said.
