In Memorial: Remembering fallen officers

To remember their lost brethren, Hancock County-area law enforcement officers on Thursday conducted a ceremony at the Fallen Law Enforcement Officers Monument in front of the Hancock County Courthouse.
The officers Memorialized included Dennis Tartavoulle, Hancock County Sheriff's Office; Ennis "Paul" Denham, Mississippi Highway Patrol; William "Bill" Kenny, Mississippi Highway Patrol; and Cyril J. Reichart, Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Chaplain Jebb Banashak was master of ceremonies for the event. Cassidy Compretta performed the National Anthem.
Major Reese Mariow (BHS JROTC) led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Sheriff Ricky Adam, Bay Police Chief Mike De Nardo and MS Highway Patrol Troop K Capt. Pat Green installed a memorial wreath and Chancery Clerk Tim Kellar read a proclamation of remembrance.
Law enforcement officers from the all across the area were joined by elected officials and the public.
Elder Thomas Hawkins, from the Powerhouse of Deliverance, Bay St. Louis, gave the invocation. Dr. Owen Nease, pastor of First Baptist Church, Bay St. Louis, gave the benediction.
