A Kiln man who was arrested last week for an alleged sexual molestation in Bay St. Louis is now facing more charges for a similar offense in another part of Hancock County.
On April 29, Bay police arrested Ernest Guyton, 36, on a charge of touching a child for lustful purposes.
Bay St. Louis Police Chief Mike De Nardo said Friday that his office had received a complaint of child abuse against Guyton on April 21.
Police executed a search warrant at Guyton's home in the county and collected evidence, De Nardo said.
The victim in the case, whose name is not being released, is a female under the age of 16, authorities said.
Further investigation into Guyton's actions revealed he had molested the same victim at his home in Kiln, authorities said Monday.
Hancock County Sheriff's Chief Investigator Glen Grannan said Monday that a warrant was issued for Guyton's arrest last week on a charge of child molestation.
Guyton, who was already in jail on the Bay charge, was served with the county warrant on Saturday, records show.
Guyton remains in the county jail under a $75,000 bond for the Bay charge and no bond on the county charge. If convicted, he faces up to 60 years in prison, authorities said.
