One person's trash is another's treasure, they say, and that was never more evident than Wednesday evening at the Bay St. Louis Community Hall.
The fourth annual No Trash Bash on Wednesday included 15 local designers and performers.
The event featured three age categories, ranging from pre-schoolers to adults.
Contestants created outfits made entirely from recycled materials.
"It is always a great event and it helps raise awareness and money for local recycling efforts," Bay St. Louis Mayor Les Fillingame said Wednesday.
This year's winners included Lauren Feurestein, who won the children's division; Ciper Leith, who won the high school division, and Catherine Kett, who took home the adult division crown.
Chelsea Fredrick of the Bay High Steppers won the overall award with her costume "Classy in Camo."
