The Boil Water Notice has been lifted, Waveland Mayor David Garcia said Thursday.
A large portion of the city of Waveland was without water on Tuesday morning because of problems with a repair project on Highway 90, officials said.
Waveland Mayor David Garcia said Tuesday that crews were repairing a water main on Highway 90 about 2 a.m. Tuesday when a valve blew off.
Public Works crews had restored service by about 8 a.m. Tuesday, but due to the loss of pressure, the city issued the boil water notice until test results show the system is not contaminated.
The test results had not come back yet as of 10:30 Thursday morning, Garcia said.
"As soon as we get it, we will get the message out to everybody," Garcia said.
