Cold weather shelter to open, flood warning in effect Thursday

Hancock County Emergency Management Agency Executive Director Brian Adam on Thursday announced the EMA, in coordination with the Old Spanish Trail Baptist Church, will open a Cold Weather Shelter Feb. 6. The shelter will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. The Cold Weather Shelter will be at the Old Spanish Trail Baptist Church at 5078 HWY 90. The Old Spanish Trail Baptist Church is located 1 mile west of Walmart.

Adam also announced a flood warning is in effect for the Pearl River area in Hancock County today.
