Bay Bridge still closed, most others open

BRIDGE UPDATE;


The Hancock County Emergency Management Agency is asking drivers to use caution on all of the bridges in Hancock County.

THE FOLLOWING BRIDGES HAD SLIPPERY ICE AND WE ARE ASKING ALL DRIVERS TO USE EXTREME CAUTION:
FLAT TOP ROAD BRIDGE: HEAVY ICING
FIRE TOWER ROAD BRIDGE: A LITTLE SLICK DUE TO ICING
OLD JOE MORAN ROAD BRIDGE: FROZEN BUT NOT SLICK
KILN-DELISLE ROAD BRIDGE (BAYOU LATERE): ICING AND SLICK
KILN-PICAYUNE ROAD BRIDGE (NEAR FIRE TOWER): HEAVY ICING AND SLICK
CRANE CREEK ROAD BRIDGE: ICY AND SLICK
EAST CYPRESS LAKE BRIDGE: ICY AND SLICK
MITCHELL ROAD BRIDGE: ICY AND SLICK
STANDARD CEMETARY ROAD BRIDGE: ICING AND SLICK
THE MAJORITY OF THE BRIDGES WITH SAND ON THEM HAD ICE ON THE SAND, BUT WERE NOT SLICK OR SLIPPERY.

THE BAY ST. LOUIS BRIDGE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED AND AT THIS TIME WE HAVE NO ESTIMATION OF WHEN IT WILL REOPEN.
