Prepare for winter storm

The Hancock County Emergency Management Agency is encouraging all Hancock County Citizens to be prepared for the impending Winter Weather expected to impact Hancock County.
Please stay inside and do not drive in these adverse weather conditions.
Stay indoors and use safe heating sources.
Make sure you have enough food and water.
Make sure you have enough of your necessary medicine.
Be aware of the fire danger from space heaters and candles. Keep such devices away from all flammable materials such as curtains and furniture.
Do not use charcoal or other fuel-burning devices such as grills that produce carbon monoxide.
Make sure smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are working properly.
If you go outside, wear multiple layers of loose fitting clothes, warm clothing.
Protect pets & animals, plants and leave water running for exposed pipes not in slab.
