UPDATED: Schools, courts close Tuesday and Wednesday in advance of winter storm

Local officials are taking Hancock County Emergency Management Agency Brian Adam's advice and planning ahead for the icy forecast.
The Bay-Waveland, Pass Christian and Hancock County School districts have all canceled classes for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Our Lady Academy, St. Stanislaus College and Holy Trinity Elementary have canceled classes for Tuesday but have not yet decided to cancel school on Wednesday. Officials said they would wait and see what develops and announce their plans for Wednesday on Tuesday.
Other cancellations this week include hearings in Hancock County Justice Court on Tuesday and Bay St. Louis Municipal Court on Wednesday.
Those scheduled to appear in BSL Municipal Court Wednesday will receive letters re-scheduling their court dates and can call 467-9068 for more information.
All campuses of Pearl River Community College will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to the winter storm forecast for South Mississippi.
Day and night classes and other events scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday are cancelled. Residence hall students are encouraged to go home, if possible.
The college is scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m .Thursday.
Additionally, all Hancock County government offices will be closed on Tuesday.
All five branches of the Hancock County Library System will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Standard Dedeaux Water Assoc. in Kiln will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
All local high school soccer and basketball games scheduled for Tuesday have been changed. All boys soccer games will be played Monday. Bay High will play at home beginning at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Hancock and SSC are on the road.
Girls soccer games have been postponed until Thursday.
Boys and girls basketball games have been postponed and will be re-scheduled next week.
NASA’s Stennis Space Center will be closed on Tuesday due to potential dangerous weather conditions. Weather conditions will be monitored Tuesday. If conditions warrant, the site will continue to be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 29. A decision will be made by 6 p.m. Tuesday. Employees can call (228) 688-3777 for status updates.
