Waveland residents Randy Caspolich and Nikki Krost have spent the past few week preparing their Combell Street home for Halloween. Caspolich said the public is invited to stop by and see the decorations and spooky setup during their evening of trick-or-treating.
The Halloween action is heating up in Hancock County as the clock clicks down to All Hallow’s Eve.
Here’s a look at some of the events scheduled for the next couple of nights:
Cedar Rest Cemetery Tour
The 20th Cedar Res Cemetery tour sponsored by the Hancock County Historical Society, is scheduled for Halloween night beginning at dusk.
The Cedar Rest Cemetery is located on South Second Street, between Court and Sycamore Streets, Bay St. Louis. After the tour, there will be snacks and refreshments at the Kate Lobrano Cottage, Cue Street, next to the courthouse. Volunteer actors will portray the “ghosts” of several real people buried at the cemetery, including a Confederate soldier and a Yankee soldier.
Bridge Fest Haunted House:
The Bay-Waveland Lions Club will host its second annual haunted house on Halloween night, Oct. 31, 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Waveland Halloween Bash:
On Halloween evening, the second annual Waveland Halloween Bash is scheduled on Coleman Avenue, beginning at 5:30 p.m. This year's bash will include dozens of Trunk or Treat locations, face painting, free hot dogs and popcorn for kids, prizes for the best decorated booth or trunk, and more. For more information on the event, residents can call city hall at 228-467-4134.
