The Pass Christian Soap Co. is lathering up to help prevent breast cancer.
"We were approached by Gulfport Memorial Hospital to create a product to sell for the breast cancer imaging fund," Pass Christian Soap Co. owner Paula Lindsay said. "The imaging fund is a special needs fund that was established in 2006 and has ensured that over 600 women across the Gulf Coast receive necessary diagnostic imaging to aid in early detection of breast cancer."
Good Morning America on Tuesday featured the company and its products on the Robin Roberts GO PINK event supporting breast cancer awareness.
"There is a link on Good Morning America's website that will take you straight to our website to order our Unity products," Lindsay said. "Through today if you enter the code GMA you get 50 percent off.
"The Unity line of products features perfumed soap, body wash, body mist, bubble bath, body lotion and bath salts."
"We are donating 15 percent of our sales to the breast cancer imaging fund," Lindsay said. "We recently received a hand written letter from a patient who was able to have her mammogram thanks to this fund. That is when the big reward really paid off hearing her thanks and praise."
"We are really excited," Lindsay said. "We did this last year and it was such a huge boost for the fund, we got thousands of orders the last time this aired."
