Come one, come all to the revival of the Hancock County Fair - This year’s theme is “From Wagon Wheels to Ferris Wheels.”
“From carnival rides to barrel racing to animal exhibits,” organizers said, “the fair is sure to have something to satisfy all.”
The fair will be held Sept. 24-28 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds, 4184 Kiln Delisle Rd., Kiln.
Fair-goers will get the opportunity to taste food dishes from local vendors, shop at the arts and crafts booths and participate in 4H activities.
Attend the beauty pageant on Thursday night to find out who will be crowned queen of Hancock County. Enjoy the PCA Rodeo on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the gate.
Friday's entertainment line-up includes the Ross Grisham band, Rochelle Harper and the Moss Crick band and Confederate Railroad.
On Saturday enjoy the musical stylings of Pat Murphy and the Jumpin' Jukes, Autumn Rising and Frank Foster.
A big attraction for the fair is the Touchstone Energy Cooperative's hot air balloon arranged by Coast Electric Power Association.
You can participate in a trail ride and parade on Saturday. Departure time is 9 a.m. Parade will arrive at the fair at noon. Departs from 20425 Fenton Dedeaux Rd. Price per rider is $15 after Sept. 25.
