Waveland Police Chief David Allen reports the arrest of Andrew Roberts Olivo, 20, of Waveland, who was charged with three counts of burglary of a commercial business.
"The Waveland Police Department solved two burglaries last week," Allen said Tuesday. "The burglaries occurred on the night of August 17, to two business in Waveland, Hart Antiques and Bay-Waveland Mini Storage Units. Both are located in the 900 block of Highway 90 West."
"At the Mini Storage Units, 19 spaces were burglarized. Olivo was identified from security video footage by patrol officers Mike Prendergast and Shane Jordan during regular patrol activities. A consensual search of his residence yielded some of the stolen items."
Investigator Eddie Peterson, who is in charge of the investigation had reported, "The suspect pried open the doors of some 19 units causing damage to the doors and frames.
“It was undetermined what items were taken from each unit at the time the crime was initially reported."
"We did not initially announced the arrest of Olivo," Allen said, "so we could attempt to recover more of the items stolen in the burglaries"
