Bretta Hart, a senior forward on the Bay High Lady Tigers basketball team, signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the University of Mississippi next year.
Hart, a 6’ 2” forward, helped lead the Lady Tigers to a perfect 36-0 record this past season and the overall Class 4A state championship.
Hart averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds per game for Bay High during their magical season.
In a previous interview, Ole Miss head coach Matt Insell commented, “I was thrilled the day that Bretta Hart called and made her decision to stay at home and play for the University of Mississippi. Her athleticism will make her a great fit in our up-tempo offense.”
She was an All-Division 8-4A selection and played in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic following the season.
Hart chose the Rebels, a member of the Southeastern Conference, over the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University.
