A man found beaten unconscious in Pass Christian on Sunday has died, Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said Wednesday, and charges against the three men suspected in the assault have been upgraded to murder.
Robert Trosclair, 31, was discovered on April 7, unconscious and lying on the roadside off of Cunningham Road near Lobouy Road, in Pass Christian.
Brisolara said murder charges have been filed against Orlander Patrick Dedeaux, 19; Stevie Creon Ambrose, 27; and Abdur Rahim Ambrose, 28, all of Pass Christian. All three defendants were arrested April 7 and initially charged with the aggravated assault.
Brisolara said that with the upgraded charges, three defendants' bonds
remained at $1,000.000 each. Orlander Dedeaux has an additional bond of $50,000 on a possession of cocaine charge which occurred at the time of his arrest on April 10, Brisolara said. All three are currently incarcerated in the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility pending their next court appearance.
Bonds were set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
After Trosclair's physical description was reported by the media, family came forward and identified him, Brisolara said. Criminal Investigators – with assistance from the Harrison County Sheriff's Narcotics Division, the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team,(CNET) and the DEA – conducted interviews and gathered evidence which led to the arrest of Dedeaux and Stevie Ambrose at approximately 1 a.m. on April 10. Abdur Rabim Ambrose surrendered to authorities at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on April 10 at approximately 10 a.m., Sheriff Brisolara reported.
