Donavan Ladner, 38 of Kiln, was arrested Monday morning and charged with aggravated assault.
A Kiln man was arrested Monday after he allegedly shot his brother, authorities said Monday.
Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam said Monday that Donavan Ladner, 38, was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting.
Sheriff's Chief Investigator Glenn Grannan said that deputies responded to a family disturbance on Dummyline Road on Sunday evening.
Ladner and his brother Ray Ladner both lived at the residence, Grannan said.
Grannan said Ladner shot his brother in the leg with a shotgun.
The brother survived the shooting and was transported to Forrest General Hospital, Grannan said.
Donavan Ladner was arrested without incident and booked with aggravated assault.
On Monday, Ladner appeared in front of Justice Court Judge Desmond Hoda, who set a $25,000 cash bond.
The case remains under investigation, Grannan said.
No update on Ray Ladner's condition was available by press time Tuesday.
