Bay High answered in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 8-7. Walker drew a walk and Solome singled. Buehler hit a two-run double to make the final tally.
Bay High head coach Wali Shabazz commented, “We are playing well with so many new and young faces in the lineup. We lost four players who are swinging the bat at the next level so there is an adjustment period we are going through. However, the girls are scrappy and giving tremendous effort.”
On Monday, March 11th the St. Stanislaus Rock-a-chaws (3-4) dropped their game with Springfield, LA, by the score of 6-5. Noah Nicaud and Patrick McRaney each tallied two hits in the loss.
Also, earlier in the week, the Hancock Hawks gained a division win over the St. Martin Yellow Jackets 10-4. The Hawks (8-3, 2-1) were led by winning pitcher Zach O’Hern with four hits. Hunter Waltman also drove in two runs on two hits.
