Cook, Entriken, Hart & Reed all selected for All-Star games

Four area basketball standouts have been selected for post-season all-star games by the Mississippi Association of Coaches.
Dimitri Cook of Pass Christian and Christa Reed have been chosen to play in the Mississippi Sports Medicine North/South All-Star game that features the state's best juniors. They will both be members of the South Squad.
Cook led the Pirates to the Class 3A state semi-finals this past weekend where the lost to Velma Jackson 37-36 in overtime.
Cook, the Division 8-3A Most Valuable Player, led Pass Christian in scoring with a 27.2 average along with 6.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
The Pirates ended the season with a 25-8 record.
Reed, the Division 8-4A MVP, has lead her Lady Tigers to the Class 4A state finals this Friday night against Pontotoc.
Reed leads the Lady Tigers in scoring at 23.4 points per game. She is being heavily recruited by several Division I schools.
The Lady Tigers are the state's top ranked girls team and sport an undefeated 35-0 record. Lady Tiger teammate Bretta Hart has been selected to the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Classic that will be played on March 15th in Montgomery.
Hart averages 14 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. She is an All-Division 8-4A performer.
Entriken, a Hancock senior, has been chosen to boys' squad for the Mississippi/Alabama game. He is the first Hawk player selected for this honor.
Entriken, a Division 8-6A first team selection, averaged 18 points per game this season.
