Hunter education classes begin
Jan 11, 2013, 18:21
On Jan. 16 at 3 p.m., a Hunter Education Instructor Class will be held at the Hancock County office of the Mississippi State University Extension Service in order to train volunteers to teach student hunter education classes. This is a four hour long class and covers every aspect of the student hunter education class.
Upon completion of the class the volunteer instructors will be required to teach 3 classes a year to keep up certification.
Prior to the class all of the volunteer instructors will need to complete an online application and email it to email@example.com. This application may be found at the following url: http://www.mdwfp.com/education-outreach/hunter-education.aspx.
A background check will be run on all volunteer instructors.
The volunteer instructors will have to assist with teaching a hunter education class before they schedule their own. These requirements are to make sure that our instructors are comfortable with all the information being taught.
If you are interested in participating in this class, please contact the Hancock County Extension Office at (228) 467-5456.
