Bay St. Louis Police on Friday arrested a local man who allegedly held a 45-year-old woman against her will and forced her to have sex with him.
According to a press release from the Bay St. Louis Police Department, Thomas Lee Williams, 65, was arrested Friday and charged with kidnapping and sexual battery.
Williams apparently knew the victim and held her against her will during the incident, officials said.
The incident was reported to police on Nov. 13, BPD Chief Gary Ponthieux said.
Police conducted an investigation and obtained arrest warrants for Williams last week, the chief said.
Williams was arrested Friday and later posted a $100,000 bond.
Ponthieux said the case is still under investigation and anyone with information about it can call BPD at 228-467-9222 or contact CrimeStoppers at mscoactcrimestoppers.com or at 1-877-787-5898.
