A St. Stanislaus student prepares food at King’s Kitchen.
On Nov. 4, King's Kitchen served more than 100 people during its first Saturday serving lunch, Central Bible Church pastor Mike Ramsey said.
Due to the positive response, Ramsey said, King's Kitchen will be serving meals every other Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Students from St. Stanislaus are sponsoring the Saturday meals, he said.
"They bring the food with them, prepare the meal and serve," Ramsey said.
The next Saturday meal will be served up on Nov. 18, he added.
King's Kitchen will also be serving Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Ramsey said. Silver Slipper Casino is sponsoring the meal, he said.
Anyone interested in volunteering to serve may contact Ramsey at 228-493-4796.
The soup kitchen is located at 2005 Longfellow Rd. in Bay St. Louis and serves meals Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
