Mississippi Brilla FC coach Mark McKeever has reinforced his 2017 team with the addition of two local products. William Carey University's Chance Bourdene and Grant Adam will be staying relatively close to home this summer. The rising seniors were key pieces of the Crusaders' recent NAIA tournament run, and McKeever will be looking for both of them to contribute this summer.
Adam, a goalkeeper, made 21 starts in all 21 of his matches. He racked up 10 shutouts and a 0.964 goals-against average. The Waveland, MS native joined Bourdene on the SSAC All-Conference team. The SSAC Tournament MVP also was named to the NAIA Honorable Mention list. McKeever had positive things to say about the incoming shot-stopper.
“Grant is an athletic goalkeeper with great reflex and shot stopping skills. Last season, he was named Golden Glove winner for the SSAC, and he was key to William Carey winning both the regular season and conference tournament.”
Brilla will open the 2017 PDL season with a May 20th road game against Peachtree City MOBA. Their home opener is slated for Thursday, May 25th at 7:00 pm at Clinton High School’s Arrow Field.
