SSC & Vandebilt claim CSC titles

The St. Stanislaus College track and field team hosted the Catholic Schools Challenge track and field meet on Saturday, April 1st.
Eight teams competed on the girls side while three teams comprised the boys side. However, SSC split it's team in half to make up the three teams.
Team Coindre, named for the founder of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Father Andre Coindre, and Team Polycarp, named for the order's first Superior General, made up the two teams.
On the girls side, Vandebilt Catholic High School, a Brothers of the Sacred Heart school, won the girls title with 222 points while OLA placed fifth with 41 points.
Sara Hollingsworth led OLA with a third place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 13.75.
Taylor Slade was fifth in the 100m hurdles and fourth in the 300m hurdles.
The Crescents 4x800m relay team was second with a time of 11:28.78 while their 4x400m relay team placed third in 4:46.89.
On the boys side, the two SSC teams competed against St. Patrick. Team Coindre won the meet with 228 points followed by Team Polycarp with 180 points.
Team Polycarp was paced by Delvin Henry who won the 100m dash in 10.99 and the 200m dash in 23.65.
Landry Lemoine gained a first place finish for Polycarp in the 1600m with a time of 5:31.27 and was second in the 3200m.
Brandon Bordelon won the 110m hurdles in 15.38 and the high jump with a height of 5'10" and placed second in the 300m hurdles.
Nicholas Clogher placed second in the 400m dash for Polycarp with a time of 1:00.84.
Cameron Baehr was fourth for Polycarp in the 110m hurdles, the long jump and the high jump. He also placed third in the triple jump.
Manning Gex placed fourth in the 300m hurdles for Polycarp with a time of 59.5.
William Weber placed second in the pole vault while Thomas Carter was fourth.
Jordan Nunez placed third in the 800m followed by Richard Alarcon in foirth.
Jack Dufrene was third in the 3200m.
Liam Arnsdorff took third in the long jump while Stephen Loupe was third in the shotput and Ross Wikoff was fourth.
Team Polycarp won the 4x200m relay.
Nathan Bulova placed second in the discus and Thomas Weber was fourth.
Team Coindre was led by Nick Hava who won the long jump with a leap of 19' 6 3/4". He also placed second in the 100m and 200m dashes.
Mark Cook won the shotput with a put of 47' 10 1/2" while Joe Reeder won the discus with a throw of 123'4". Cook also placed third in the discus while Reeder was second in the shotput.
Gaines Carter won the 400m dash in 58.83 and placed second in the triple jump.
Chris Lucore won the triple jump with a leap of 37' 5 1/4" and placed third in the high jump.
Davis Scharp placed second in the high jump, 110m hurdles, and long jump and third in the 300m hurdles.
Taylor Necaise won the pole vault with a height of 11'6" and James Sharp was third.
Madison Grindall won the 800m in 2:21.25 followed by Peyton Cabell in second.
Carston Raymond won the 3200m in 11:35.87 and placed third in the 1600m.
Seth Taylor placed third in the 110m hurdles and won the 300m hurdles in 44.72.
Ian Hardy placed fourth in the 1600m while Will Greer was third in the 400m.
Team Coindre won the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
